Ceramic Face Dish – Design 1

Razieh makes all of her ceramic homeware and accessories by hand at her studio in North London, and has been making pottery for the last 20 years. This collection of earrings is inspired by the shapes and colours of nature, in tune with this year’s Refugee Week theme, ‘Healing’.

This small red clay dish is hand thrown, and measures 11cm in diameter and 4cm in height. The outside is finished with clear glaze, showing the dark red colour of the clay, and the inside is glazed white and decorated with a woman’s face outlined in red and black. The finishing glaze is glossy.
