FOUNDER OF EMBROIDERING DREAMS

My Story

I am a refugee who came to the UK to seek security and preserve my life.
I am Mexican and throughout the years of not being possible to see my family or be close to my culture, I decided to honour the traditions and culture of hand-embroidery in my family that’s been passed down generation to generation. Each design is hand-embroidered by women in my family in Mexico – including my Granny.

My Business

This is a small family business which aims to encourage our customers to feel love and respect for every piece of clothing in their wardrobe, thus contributing to the fight against fast fashion – which is a very dangerous practice for our planet. Our brand also aims to generate employment for my family in Mexico, who for various circumstances, do not have a stable stream of income. As well as our online stock we offer T-shirts that are customised with hand embroidery. Buying from Embroidering Dreams gives you the opportunity to own something unique – a hand embroidered piece which contains generational cultural heritage.
